Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The HVAC Site Engineer is responsible for supervising, executing, and coordinating all heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning works at the project site. The role ensures that installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities are carried out as per approved drawings, project specifications, safety standards, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Execution & Supervision

  • Oversee day-to-day HVAC installation activities including ducting, piping, insulation, and equipment installation.
  • Ensure site execution is as per approved shop drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, Supervisors, foremen and technicians to ensure timely work progress.

2. Technical Responsibilities

  • Ensure correct installation of chillers, AHUs, FAHUs, VRF/VRV systems, FCUs, exhaust fans, pumps, and other HVAC components.
  • Verify alignment, leveling, and proper support of ducts and pipes.
  • Assist in Preparing As – Built Drawings

3. Quality Control

  • Conduct inspections for HVAC materials and installed works.
  • Ensure compliance with the relevant engineering standards.
  • Raise MIR upon delivery.
  • Raise and close NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) when required.

4. Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate with civil, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting teams to avoid site conflicts.
  • Attend daily/weekly site meetings with consultants, contractors, and project teams.
  • Communicate site issues, delays, or design conflicts to the Project Manager.

5. Testing & Commissioning

  • Prepare and supervise testing & commissioning (T&C) procedures for HVAC systems.
  • Ensure the proper balancing of airflow/water flow (TAB works).
  • Verify system performance and complete handover documentation.

6. Safety & Documentation

  • Ensure all site safety protocols are followed (PPE, permit-to-work, lock-out/tag-out).
  • Maintain updated site progress reports, inspection requests (IRs), and work checklists.
  • Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and assist in project handover documentation.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Min. 2–6 years in UAE Experience in residential,commercial, industrial, or infrastructure HVAC projects.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and MEP coordination.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings (GA, shop drawings, schematics).
  • Familiarity with HVAC standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISHRAE).
  • Good communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office
