Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily inspections of ammonia refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and piping, to identify and address any operational anomalies.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and belt adjustments on all HVAC and ammonia refrigeration equipment, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
  • Monitor and interpret system gauges, meters, and control panels to maintain appropriate temperature, pressure, and flow parameters for safe and efficient operation.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex system malfunctions, utilizing technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools to pinpoint the root cause and implement effective solutions.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as leaks or system failures, taking decisive action to mitigate risks and prevent further damage or injury.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance data, documenting findings and actions taken.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a high school diploma or equivalent, with completion of a vocational or technical training program in HVAC or refrigeration preferred.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in industrial ammonia refrigeration systems, showcasing proficiency in troubleshooting and repair.
  • Requires physical abilities, including the ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and withstand varying temperatures and environmental conditions.
