Hygiene Manager
Coordinate and ensure that hygiene and food safety guidelines are being followed throughout the hotel as per the Oman Municipality. The implementation and maintenance of the HACCP System, all regulations, practices, rules as stipulated by Oman Municipality are being followed. To develop and administer programs to ensure employee safety and property compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations for specified facilities, operations and the visiting public according to Oman Municipality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Is responsible that the highest level of sanitation are achieved, maintained and strictly controls the documents required for government body certification across all outlets and kitchen areas.

The hotel is compliant at all times with all Oman health & safety requirements.

The hotel passes all inspections by local authorities as well cooperate peer reviews.

Establishes internal hygiene audits in conjunction with the Executive Chef and ensures cleaning schedules are followed in all areas both FOH and BOH to guarantee optimal cleanliness.

Attains and maintains the sanitation policies (HACCP) as required by the regional governing body.

Leads by example through passionate, hands on approach.

Remains visible and assists team members in all aspects of the operation.

Displays personal ownership and responsibility for the efficient operation.

Ensures the hotel is compliant to all Earth check program requirements.
1.Hotel:

Promote a Fun, Professional and Disciplined work environment.

Responsible for HACCP/Pre-requisite Program implementation through monitoring, coordination, assessment, verification and follow-up.

Monitor, evaluate and review existing, new and upcoming Health and Safety legislation and ensure that the College has systems and procedures in place to meet legal compliance.

Assists the Commercial, Engineering, Stewarding and Operations Department in their dealings with Clients in all issues concerned with Health and Safety at work.

Perform internal audits and reports and follow-up to ensure compliance for all F&B areas including the staff canteen.

Observes work in progress, ensures that proper safety equipment is worn and procedures are followed.

Daily monitoring and Conducts safety audits both internal and external of HACCP procedures and guidelines

Prepare and conduct Health & Safety training sessions/Trainings for employees including on job demonstrations or hands-on instruction.

Be a member of the hotel s Health and Safety Committee and actively promote a safe environment throughout the hotel.

Undertake the planning and implementation of fire drills and other evacuation procedures, e.g. in the case of a bomb threat and as part of the College s Emergency Plan and Business Continuity teams.

Coordinate with local authorities to comply with laws and regulations.

Coordinate microbiological samplings and pest control activities.

Conduct Training of Basic Food Hygiene, awareness course and other related programs per Municipality regulations and ensure certificates are certified by the Municipality.

Perform hazard analysis & continual improvement in food safety.

Create, maintain and verify records of all HACCP and Health and Safety Reports documentation.

Develops policies, plans and procedures to minimize risk to the public and employees.

Makes recommendations to management for any areas of improvement to increase Food Safety.
2.Staff Housing:

Keeps updated with the latest industry trends as well as Oman Housing Regulations and new products in the market.

Perform internal audits and reports and follow-up to ensure compliance.

Undertake and attend fire drills and housing sight inspections.

Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and of the hotel.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment, including oral and written language skills in English; Any additional languages are an advantage.

Operational knowledge of the role.

Luxury Hotel Experiences.

Communication skills.

Basic knowledge of hotel operations & Computer systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Opera; Basic knowledge of Micros is an advantage.

Passion for hospitality and the European elegance of service.
