Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Efficiently process customer transactions using POS systems, ensuring accuracy in handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
  • Accurately scan and bag purchased items, paying close attention to product codes and weights to prevent errors and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including restocking supplies and promptly addressing any spills or hazards to ensure a safe environment.
  • Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with store policies, verifying receipts, and ensuring proper documentation to minimize discrepancies.
  • Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, meticulously accounting for all transactions and promptly reporting any discrepancies.
  • Stay informed about current promotions, product locations, and store policies to assist customers effectively and offer accurate information.
  • Assist with price checks and product inquiries, using scanners and databases to provide accurate pricing and details.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; prior cashier experience is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a hypermarket or retail environment, demonstrating familiarity with POS systems and customer service.
  • Open to all nationalities; proficiency in English is essential, with Arabic or other languages being a plus.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to handle cash and transactions with integrity.
