Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care and monitoring for critically ill patients in the ICU.
Assess, diagnose, and manage complex medical and surgical cases requiring intensive care support.
Perform emergency procedures such as intubation, central venous line insertion, arterial cannulation, and advanced airway management.
Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation, vasoactive infusions, renal replacement therapy, and other organ support interventions.
Conduct daily patient rounds and update treatment plans in coordination with the ICU Consultant.
Communicate effectively with families regarding patient condition, treatment options, and prognosis.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists, physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals for coordinated multidisciplinary care.
Ensure timely and accurate medical documentation in electronic or paper-based patient records.
Participate in departmental teaching, case discussions, and quality improvement activities.
Adhere to hospital policies, infection control measures, and health authority regulations.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
Specialization: Board Certification or Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine / Intensive Care / Anesthesiology / Internal Medicine.
Licensure: Valid medical license or eligibility to practice as an ICU Specialist in [country/region].
Experience: Minimum of [3 5 years] post-specialization experience in ICU or critical care settings.
