Job Description & Summary

Our Immigration Services team oversees all elements of immigration support for secondments, new hires and international transfers into PwC, and assists our employees traveling internationally with understanding and meeting the immigration requirements of other countries. You ll be assisting the team with every aspect of international mobility such as temporary permit applications, citizenship and permanent residency applications, coordinated worldwide migration, immigration audits, and mobility policies.
As a Senior Associate, you ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to Managers and above
• Train and lead staff
• Establish effective working relationships directly with clients
• Contribute to the development of your own and team s technical acumen
• Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
• Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
• Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand
•Follow-up on the Firm expenditure and cost per hire for Immigration/Government Relations services in country
•Coordinate all inbound immigration matters for the Firm.
•Support pleasant joining for new joiners and ensuring workflow process is adhered
•Coordinate day-to-day relationship with immigration attorneys and their operational and strategic partnering with PwC to be proactive in managing immigration issues and serving as direct expert for HR community by providing immigration information, status updates and responding to immigration queries.
•Act as a key resource and liaison with Government institutions in country, building productive relationships
Internal Process
•Implement priorities and actions plans as well as securing appropriate resources for Immigration/Government Relations services together with the Business and the People Team
•Work closely with Global Mobility, Recruitment and Onboarding
•Ensure that controls are in place to ensure a smooth implementation of HC policies and procedures
•Liaise with government authorities, Customs, Free Zone Areas, Clinics, Authorities, Embassies, Immigration, Ministry of Labour.
•Coordinate work permits, labour card renewals, cancellations or residency and labour cards, Etc.
•Ensure maintenance of the employment regulatory framework in country
•Monitor expiry dates of trade licenses, free zone cards, company cards, civil defence, chamber of commerce, notary public in country
Learning & Growth
•Support improvements in the HC Operating model, specifically the increased delivery of standardised services. Look for areas of continuous improvement across the HC Operations function
•Promote collaboration, trust and improvement between team members and across the People Team
•Work on specific projects related to HR initiatives as assigned
•Demonstrate a culture of continuous learning within the HC Operations and Employee Relations team and benchmark against best practices in the HR industry and country specific
•Act as a key resource and liaison to other functional areas of the business, building cross-functional relationships as needed
•Bachelor s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology or Business Management
•Fluency in spoken and written English, proficiency in spoken and written Arabic
Overall Experience
•2+ years of relevant experience
Specific Experience
•Deep understanding of country laws related to immigration and government regulations
Knowledge and Skills
•Knowledge of labor laws is preferred
•Knowledge of HR best practices and processes
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
•Excellent team building and relationship building capabilities
•Ability to maintain highly confidential information
•Strong customer service orientation with ability to use patience and diplomacy to handle issues
