Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Customs Compliance:
* Stay updated on customs regulations, trade laws, and import/export policies in the UAE.
*Ensure that all imported goods comply with local regulations and standards.
Documentation:
•Manage and review all import documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents.
•Coordinate with suppliers, shipping agents, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and complete documentation.
Customs Declarations:
•Prepare and submit customs declarations accurately and in a timely manner.
•Liaise with customs authorities to resolve any issues or discrepancies in declarations.
Tariff Classification:
•Classify goods according to the appropriate tariff codes for customs clearance.
•Determine and apply applicable duties and taxes.
Knowledge:
•Understanding of international trade, customs laws, and tariff
classifications.
•Knowledge of customs clearance software and systems.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Logistics, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 8 to 12 years of experience in import/export operations and customs clearance, with a focus on FMCG, preferably in the food industry.
Strong understanding of UAE customs laws, international trade regulations, and food safety compliance.
Proficiency in English; knowledge in additional languages, especially Arabic, may be beneficial.
