Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Finance Executive is responsible for supporting the daily financial operations of the hotel, including accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliation, revenue auditing, and reporting. This role ensures accurate financial record-keeping and compliance with internal controls and statutory regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
- Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable processes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank statements, supplier statements, and credit card transactions.
- Monitor revenue postings and conduct night audit checks as required.
- Support month-end closing activities including journal entries and accruals.
- Maintain financial records and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation and support.
- Coordinate with other departments for timely submission of invoices and supporting documents.
- Ensure compliance with hotel financial policies and relevant local accounting regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor petty cash disbursements and maintain proper records.
- Provide financial data and analysis to support operational decisions.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in a finance role, preferably within the hospitality industry. Familiarity with hotel PMS and accounting systems (e.g., Opera, Sun, SAP, Oracle). Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software. Attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent organizational skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. High level of integrity and confidentiality.
