• Responsible for the leadership and support of their team across multiple locations in multiple countries
• Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies
• Ensure the right resources are utilised effectively at the right time across their team and projects.
• Input into recruitment and selection strategies
• Contribute to project teams inductions, performance management reviews and personal development plans that support the development of individuals and the business
• Contribute to succession planning and career development across their team
• Support the development and delivery of training and awareness session as required
• Contribute to the development and drive the implementation of the business strategy
• Attend and contribute to quarterly senior management meetings
• Attend and lead team and project meetings, cascade relevant information and encourage feedback from team
• Engage with peer group and contribute to industry events and associations

Leadership
• Lead and project manage the successful delivery of complex large scale high quality multi-disciplinary design and build projects
• A proven track record of successful delivery of large (4-30 million AED design fee) is essential.
• Provide leadership in Health and Safety. (CDM UK terminology)
• Lead and champion that projects adhere to Project Lifecycle
• Accountable for the contractual relationship between the business and the client; taking the process from proposal to contract, utilising the advice of the support functions
• Ensure proactive project planning, stakeholder and risk management takes place across projects
• Lead the team to identify, assess and manage major project risk and secure the best commercial return from the projects in their portfolio
• To ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met
• Accountable for the accurate and timely recognition of revenue for projects
• Accountable for overseeing and delivering the process of working capital management from inception to completion within set deadlines; This includes the timing of invoicing, the review of work in progress and the collection of outstanding invoices from clients whilst utilising the advice of the support functions as necessary
• Contribute to the completion of monthly management project reports to be issued by set deadline
• Management of the construction contract as the Engineer, as modified by the contract specifics
• Leads and motivates the project team to their optimum ensuring the responsibilities of team members and supporting teams within the project organisation are clearly communicated
• Influences project team members, especially during challenging, ambiguous or changing circumstances, such that motivation and performance remains high
• Adapts own leadership style to changing project situations and conditions and/or needs of team members and can demonstrate how an environment of trust, confidence and commitment is created and maintained
• Demonstrates through own leadership style the change outcomes the project will deliver and can create a future state vision of expected project outcomes
• Ensures the expectations of project team members as to behaviour and performance are clearly understood, are enacted and that feedback to project team members is provided
• Provides regular individual and collective project team feedback on performance, achievements and needs for improvement
Communication
• Demonstrates a passion for effective communication strategies, both to project team, customer and stakeholders
• Able to provide clear, current, timely and succinct communication to the customer, project owner and to team members on key project facts, issues, challenges and progress
• Demonstrates an engaging and concise communication style, whether verbally, in writing or when listening and able to adapt that style to the needs of the recipient
• Ensures communications management is applied throughout the project implementation cycle and that considerations as to what was communicated; when, how, in what format/media and at what frequency are fully thought through
• Provides a compelling rationale for project objectives, intended goals and benefits through story-telling and through connecting the communication message to the values of the individual project team members
Stakeholder Management
• Maintains regular dialogue and builds a mutually beneficial relationship with the customer project manager and Aurecon Project Sponsor and advises on all matters concerning the project
• Identifies and prioritises stakeholder interests and requirements as well as in determining stakeholder levels of influence and uses this information to produce (and utilise) an active stakeholder management map and additionally, a stakeholder engagement and management plan
• Develops stakeholder strategies in order to drive the necessary levels of senior management commitment in supporting the timely engagement of project stakeholders
• Anticipates and manages changes to stakeholder interests and their expectations
• Demonstrates strong performance in maintaining stakeholder commitment and cohesion, even for the most challenging of stakeholders
Scope and Benefits Management
• Ensures the scope of work (and associated contractual terms of references) are clearly defined and agreed with the customer
• Maintains a continued focus on operational and strategic drivers in enabling operational delivery and benefits
• Determines customer scope and ensures this is analysed and documented and appropriate acceptance criteria are agreed
• Performs with a continued focus on strategic drivers in enabling benefits and their likely success throughout project implementation and is able to relate those benefits and drivers in both Aurecon and customer terms
• Indicates how changes to project scope are considered in relation to schedule and time, cost and budget and quality (tangible impacts) and to the benefit needs of Aurecon, the customer and stakeholders (intangible impacts)
• Ensures customer, stakeholder and Aurecon expected benefits (and measurement thereof) are communicated across the project team, customer and stakeholders and that they are continually reviewed, tracked and managed
• Provides assurance to Project Sponsor that the impact of changes to project scope, schedule and budget are fully considered in terms of anticipated outcomes and benefits for Aurecon and for the customer and additionally, are considered as part of overall project value
