Do you enjoy solving problems using data? Are you able to interpret client business challenges into a data driven strategy? The Insights Manager job combines the skills of strategic client management and data analytics into a single role.
The role is both client and internal department facing so being able to develop relationships and articulate data in an easy to understand way is very important.
Aimia undertakes analysis for clients across multiple sectors including Retail, Airline and Financial Services so having the ability to quickly adapt to new data sets and business rules is a key strength for this role. Leading and mentoring junior analysts the role has opportunity to develop people management skills. Ensuring industry and Aimia best practices are implemented the role has scope for thought leadership, case study development and innovation within the analytics sphere.
What you will be doing:
• Understand in detail AIMIA client data captured, process flows and infrastructure.
• Develop Analytics Roadmap for Key Clients.
• Assist Account Managers/Directors to build commercial business case and ROI for projects.
• Manage junior analysts.
• Travel to attend client meetings where required and develop relationships with Key Accounts/Partners.
• Develop project requirements and briefs with stakeholders.
• Provide consultation and recommendations on the best methodologies to meet project objectives.
• Become the subject matter expert (SME) when it comes to data, systems and tools used for analytics and reporting.
• Ensure security and QA standards are maintained, as per client agreements.
• Ability to identify gaps in data captured so that this can continuously be improved.
• Document projects and processes developed to ensure knowledge is retained within the team.
• Present complex analysis into actionable insight through written and face to face presentations.
• Lead and implement strategic projects such as Customer Segmentation and Propensity Models.
• Build and analyse campaigns for clients where required.
• Build relationships with counterparts across AIMIA global network.
What we would like you to have:
• Relevant BA degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a CRM, Loyalty or Marketing environment an advantage.
• Experience in managing multiple data projects and deadlines.
• Experience delivering customer segmentations, applying statistical techniques and propensity models.
• Experience in mining relational and multidimensional databases.
• Practical experience of statistical and reporting packages e.g. SAS/SPSS/R
• Complex SQL Queries writing.
• Tableau Reporting Experience or similar packages
• Knowledge of best practices to be followed while working with big databases
• Advanced in MS Excel/MS Office Literacy.
Why would you not take the role?
This is a hands on role so you will be required to develop analytics and write code ranging from analysing campaigns to building models, to support strategy and Insight recommendations
