Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Inspector – Plumbing & Firefighting to inspect and monitor plumbing and firefighting works on-site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring proper installation, testing, and commissioning of plumbing and fire protection systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect plumbing and firefighting works including water supply, drainage, and fire protection systems.

  • Monitor installation of sprinkler systems, fire hose reels, hydrants, fire pumps, and piping systems.

  • Ensure works are executed as per approved shop drawings, specifications, and method statements.

  • Inspect piping installation, including PPR, HDPE, UPVC, and DI pipes.

  • Verify pressure testing, flushing, and commissioning of plumbing and firefighting systems.

  • Review material submittals, shop drawings, and method statements related to plumbing and firefighting works.

  • Prepare and maintain inspection reports and QA/QC documentation.

  • Identify and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

  • Coordinate with MEP engineers, QA/QC teams, and contractors to resolve site issues.

  • Ensure compliance with project quality standards, safety requirements, and fire safety regulations.

  • Airport Project experience required


Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred).

  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience as a Plumbing & Firefighting Inspector.

  • Strong experience in plumbing systems and fire protection systems installation.

  • Experience in water supply, drainage, firefighting, and fire alarm systems.

  • Good knowledge of plumbing and firefighting drawings and standards.

  • Ability to read and interpret MEP shop drawings.

  • Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and Inspection Test Plans (ITP).

  • Strong inspection and reporting skills.

  • Good communication and coordination abilities.
