Position Description:
We are seeking an Intellectual Property Commercialization & Licensing Specialist to join the Saudi Aramco Technology Company (AramcoTech), a subsidiary of Saudi Aramco.
AramcoTech provides technology research and development services to Saudi Aramco in the downstream area. It also invests in such fields to acquire intellectual property assets, and commercialize and license relevant intellectual properties and technology.
You will be responsible for creating value through commercialization of innovative technologies developed by Saudi Aramco. You will work closely with lead scientists, engineers, and other technology developers to commission technologies that are unique and valuable to our operations. You will also work with external companies, research centers and institutions, consultants, collaborators in academia, and commercial entities as required to deliver value added technologies to the external market.
You will be responsible for managing the Company s intellectual property (IP) portfolio (patents, copyrights, and trade secrets), and you will be expected to conduct IP mapping and patentability search including due diligence for IP acquisition.
You will possess subject matter expertise, strong leadership skills, and business acumen. The ability to articulate an in-depth understanding of the oil, gas, and related industries is required.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum Requirements:
You must have a bachelor s degree in a science or engineering discipline. A JD degree or an advanced degree is strongly preferred. Also, the Certified Licensing Professional or equivalent is highly desirable.
You should have 10 years of professional experience including at least 5 years as a specialist in commercialization and/or IP management with approved record, and you should have achieved substantial recognition by peers as an expert.
Duties & Responsibilities:
As the successful candidate, you will be expected to:
Develop business case to commercialize Saudi Aramco IP and technologies.
Manage technology commercialization activities, from technology/market assessment and valuation through transaction structuring and execution.
Support IP strategy for new technology programs (i.e., develop deployment strategy, business model, etc.)
Conduct due diligence to acquire potential IP including their market value analysis.
Manage financial reporting for commercialized technologies to ensure value capture.
Perform competitive analysis of patent and commercial product landscape (i.e., IP mapping)
Contribute to the Company s annual commercialization goals.
Provide development and mentoring to junior employees.
