Roles & Responsibilities


We are looking for an experienced Interface Engineer (Civil & MEP) to join our Project Management Consultant (PMC) team. The Interface Engineer will be responsible for managing and coordinating the interfaces between civil and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) works on the metro rail project. This role involves ensuring seamless integration of various project components, maintaining effective communication between stakeholders, and resolving any interface-related issues that may arise during the construction process. The role involves supervising the D&B contractor during the construction phase, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the interfaces between civil and MEP works to ensure smooth integration and alignment with project objectives.
  • Maintain effective communication with construction contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of interface issues.
  • Facilitate the exchange of technical information and ensure that all parties are aligned on project requirements.
  • Identify and resolve interface-related issues promptly to avoid delays and disruptions in the construction process.
  • Monitor and ensure the quality of civil and MEP works, adhering to industry standards and project specifications.
  • Track and report on the progress of interface activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines and milestones.
  • Identify potential risks related to interfaces and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of interface activities, decisions, and resolutions for future reference and audit purposes.
  • Ensure all interface activities comply with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
  • He will be based out of the project office on a metro construction project.

Qualifications And Educational Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Knowledge And Experience

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in interface management for large-scale construction projects, preferably in metro rail or infrastructure projects.
  • Prior experience working on a metro/rail project will be highly preferred.
  • Prior experience working in UAE preferably Dubai will be ideal.
  • Ability to join quickly is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of civil and MEP works and their integration in construction projects.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve complex issues.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
