• Responsible for supporting and assisting the development of the international first mile and transit product strategy, market approach and structure.
• Extrapolate from the business plan all elements relating international first mile, transit and ecommerce linehaul products and partnerships and in conjunction with a review of the work established to date, identify and with stakeholders and design the strategy including product offering, services, market positioning, partnership models and approach in order to rapidly develop this revenue / customer channel.
• Oversee the planning and strategic execution of First mile Operations & implementation of Operations SOPs and work with the international sales partnership team to identify customers, markets and assist with onboarding new commercial partners.
• Contribute to productization of the international first mile services and transit product offering, then to extend this to connectivity to last mile and value-added services such as inventory hubbing, fulfilment etc.
• Design contract implementation procedures, management and renewal process and evolve International First mile strategy in line with existing and future business needs.
• Leverage expertise in international courier and parcel services, operations, transportation, routing, fleet operations, and international logistics management, to establish, optimize and improve existing network by Continuous Improvement.
• Head the designing and monitoring of Financial as well as Operational Dashboard for various KPI's agreed with customers, vendors and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate and Assisting the development of the international first mile and transit product strategy, market approach and structure.
• Establish and design the roadmap for the product evolution international first mile, transit, international and ecommerce product strategy
• Review and align the international partnership and product initiatives in the Company s FDP and business plan to clearly identify the product offering, services, market positioning, partnership models.
• Work to support the international sales partnership team with market data input, research, product analysis, product development in approach in order to rapidly growth the international revenue channels.
• Setup methodology to evaluate and optimize current international first mile delivery networks for improved service levels and transit strategy.
• Standardize and set targets to proactively manage & review the performance of teams.
• Standardise SLA, KPI and performance management model for international revenue streams.
• Provide support and expertise to the onboarding and expansion of key business partners such as Ascendia, SF Express etc..
• Develop and manage budget and conduct financial modeling.
• Research profitability/cost-to-serve and has accountability for P&L
• Develop and monitor data analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) in such metrics as cost, compliance, on time delivery/receipt etc.
• Institute best practices participate in vendor selection processes, and guide implementations utilizing business acumen, experience and relevant technology.
• Assist with the development of International first mile delivery networks in existing and new markets.
• Evaluate operational needs, route considerations, depot locations, consolidation processes, reverse logistics, and the development of sustainable operating plans.
• Assist with IT planning and implementation including TMS, WMS, and other supply chain systems required within the International stream.
• Partner with stakeholders to negotiate carrier contracts.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and work with stakeholders on cost savings reduction initiatives with TQM techniques.
• Work closely with operations and support teams and utilize relationships to ensure that supply chain/logistics solutions implementation schedules are met.
Main requirements/ qualifications
• 3-5 years prior experience with international logistics operations and commercial with a postal, courier and e-commerce services environment.
• Solid knowledge of the global ecommerce sector and courier marketplace and operations.
• Deep demonstrated experience with logistics strategy, distribution network strategy, and distribution operations improvement.
• Should have mix blend of commercial and operational knowledge.
• Exposure to internal/external stakeholders in the market.
• Demonstrated ability to determine the key business issues and develop appropriate actions plans from multidisciplinary perspectives.
• Strong technical experience in Microsoft Excel, PPT and Word.
• Sound understanding compliance and rules and documentation.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Bachelor s degree in business, logistics, or supply chain management
• Recognised formal project management qualification (PMP / Prince2 or equivalent).
