Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, assess, and validate welding procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO 3834, EN 1090, and ASME IX.
- Oversee and support welders in process execution, offering guidance on best practices and complex techniques to enhance productivity and quality.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality control, and production teams to ensure alignment in welding requirements and project specifications.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and non-destructive testing (NDT) as needed to verify welding quality and compliance with client and regulatory standards.
- Maintain detailed documentation and records of welding processes, procedures, and inspections for traceability and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; certification as an International Welding Engineer (IWE) is required.
- Proven experience in welding engineering within industrial manufacturing, ideally with exposure to structural steel and pressure vessel applications.
- In-depth knowledge of welding standards and processes, including SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and NDT methods.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with project management in a manufacturing environment, particularly in the energy, rail, or construction sectors.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 3834) and industry-specific codes (AWS D1.1, EN 15085-2).
