Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing inventory activities to ensure that the company's stock levels remain optimal for operational needs. Your responsibilities will involve maintaining inventory accuracy, identifying discrepancies, implementing efficient building procedures, and collaborating with various departments to streamline inventory processes. Your keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills will enable you to effectively manage and organize the inflow and outflow of products. By maintaining precise inventory records, you ensure that the company can meet customer demands promptly and minimize the risk of overstocking or stockouts. Your role will be pivotal in supporting supply chain management and enhancing operational efficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with system data.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate with warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate material handling.
- Analyze inventory discrepancies and develop corrective action plans accordingly.
- Work with procurement to forecast inventory needs based on sales trends.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and adjustments in the system.
- Provide inventory reports and analysis to management for strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to inventory.
- Assist in monitoring supplier performance and managing vendor relations.
- Implement continuous improvement processes to optimize inventory control systems.
- Train and guide warehouse staff on inventory control procedures and systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management roles.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in inventory management software.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to reconcile complex information.
- Ability to work collaboratively across various departments and levels.
- Strong organizational skills and capability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
