Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Inventory Planning & Control

  • Define and manage inventory norms (Min–Max, safety stock, reorder levels) for raw materials and accessories.

  • Align inventory levels with production plans and consumption trends to avoid shortages or excess.

2. Inventory Accuracy & Audits

  • Ensure high levels of inventory accuracy through cycle counts and periodic physical verification.

  • Analyze variances and drive corrective and preventive actions.

3. Inventory Optimization

  • Identify and reduce excess, slow‑moving, and obsolete inventory.

  • Improve inventory turnover and space utilization through data‑driven actions.

4. Systems & Digital Inventory Control

  • Own inventory transactions and controls within ERP / WMS / e‑Kanban systems.

  • Ensure data integrity and develop inventory dashboards and reports for management.

5. Stores Operations Oversight

  • Oversee receiving, storage, and issue of materials to ensure FIFO / FEFO and process compliance.

  • Ensure stores layouts, binning, and labeling support strong inventory visibility and control.

6. Cross‑Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with Production, Planning, Procurement, and Quality teams to ensure material availability.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory and material flow.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices

  • Proficiency in ERP‑based inventory management

  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills

  • Process‑driven and detail‑oriented mindset

  • Ability to work cross‑functionally and drive discipline

  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or a related field

  • Professional certification in Inventory / Supply Chain Management is an advantage.

  • 10–15 years of experience in inventory management and stores operations

  • Strong exposure to raw material and accessory inventory control in a manufacturing environment

  • Prior experience with ERP‑driven inventory systems is mandatory
