Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs tailored to specific agricultural or horticultural environments.
  • Conduct regular field scouting and pest monitoring to identify pest populations, disease outbreaks, and environmental stressors.
  • Analyze pest and disease data to determine thresholds and select appropriate control strategies, prioritizing non-chemical methods.
  • Evaluate the efficacy of implemented IPM strategies and adjust programs based on monitoring results and environmental conditions.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Entomology, Plant Pathology, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related agricultural science field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in developing and managing IPM programs in commercial agriculture or large-scale horticulture.
  • Professional certification (e.g., Certified Crop Advisor with IPM specialization, PCA license) is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to conduct detailed pest and disease diagnostics and recommend science-based solutions.
