Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The IT Administrator will oversee and manage all IT-related activities in the office, ensuring smooth functioning of systems, hardware, software, and networks. The role involves maintaining and troubleshooting servers, internet connectivity, and office hardware while supporting automation initiatives and managing cloud-based solutions like Office 365.

Key Responsibilities:

Server & Network Management:

  • Configure, maintain, and monitor office servers and network systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to internet connectivity, VPNs, and LAN/WAN.
  • Ensure network security through regular updates and monitoring.

Hardware Management:

  • Install, maintain, and repair office IT hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
  • Coordinate with vendors for procurement and warranty support for IT equipment.

Software & Cloud Management:

  • Administer and troubleshoot Office 365 applications and accounts.
  • Manage cloud-based services such as Azure, Google Workspace, or similar platforms.
  • Perform software installations, updates, and license management.

Automation & IT Optimization:

  • Support automation efforts in office operations to improve efficiency.
  • Research and implement new tools and technologies to enhance productivity.

Data Backup & Security:

  • Ensure regular data backups for critical systems and documents.
  • Implement and enforce IT security protocols to safeguard sensitive information.

User Support:

  • Provide technical support to office staff for IT-related issues.
  • Conduct basic IT training sessions for staff on system usage and new tools.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain IT inventory records for hardware and software.
  • Create and update IT policies and procedures.

Other Duties:

  • Liaise with external IT service providers for specialized services.
  • Stay updated on emerging IT trends and recommend upgrades as necessary.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Experience:

  • 2–5 years of experience in a similar role, managing IT operations in a professional office setting.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Office 365, and cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Proficient in networking protocols, firewall configurations, and VPN setup.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and processes
