• Manage the delivery of Business projects, Change requests and Technical projects related to core banking application (T24) with focus on enhancing business value proposition for the bank.
• Be a single point of contact for business and serve as an active link between Business and IT for handling changes under Business applications.
• Liaise with Business in finalising, prioritising and delivering the business requirements within the agreed scope and timelines
• Handle feasibility and viability studies for new projects affecting the Core banking and Treasury systems
• Provide leadership and guidance to the team to ensure all projects are handled as per the change management process adhering to the SDLC standards.
• Ensure Audit / Regulatory compliance for all projects
• Senior management reporting on activities handled
• Assist AGM-BA/ Head – Digital Transformation, IT-Applications, Infra/Testing COE in all areas related to Digital Transformation.

Principal Accountabilities

Business Support:

• Establish and maintain cordial relationships with business units / operations
• Manage business expectations, negotiate with business, prioritize and deliver viable solutions on schedule.
• SPOC for Business to understand their requirements from a Business perspective and suggest viable solutions.
• Ensure enhancements are carried out within approved release cycles by SCAC
• Ensure requirements are analyzed and addressed with minimum customization
• Ensuring smooth Roll-out of Application changes to the satisfaction of business.
• Organize and coordinate presentations, workshops and trainings on new T24 modules
• Identify and propose areas / modules in Core banking and other applications that can be reviewed and implemented for enhancing business value

System Architecture:

• Validate and make sure the Design of all the new core banking application requirements / enhancements fit into overall architecture and integrity of system.
• Take lead and evolve /devise solutions for critical requirements like data growth, performance enhancement
• Keep the system performance at acceptable level.
• Review technical and business documentations produced by vendor and other stake holders (architecture, the design, specifications) and provide inputs for approvals by management
• Coordinate with respective Technical Team Leads and BSG team to ensure the changes carried out fit into overall architecture
• Coordinate with Infrastructure team on analysis of data growth, performance, and area maintenance.
• Coordinate with Head – Architecture (IT) to ensure the design related to application overall fits into Bank’s architecture.

Manage BSG team:

• Guide the Digital Transformation team with in IT to handle projects adhering to SDLC and bank’s processes.
• Groom local talents to handle their responsibilities independently
• Set expectations and define roles and responsibilities for the team
• Transfer Domain expertise to the IT teams and enable cross functional knowledge sharing within the team.
• Develop the team to guide and facilitate Business users in launching new products

Managerial activities:-

• Resource Management - planning & utilization of resources
• Budget & Cost control
• Liaise with Business and Operations teams to identify and action on the areas of improvements
• Processing of vendor payments, reporting of MIS
• Managing Audit / Compliance requirements
• Handle activities related to Training

Personnel Specification


• A university degree in any discipline
• Masters Degree preferably in IT / Business


• Essential: 5-10 years hands-on experience in implementing /supporting / training Core Banking (T24) and other application systems in banks in a user facing role.
• Experience in Business Analysis, gathering and documenting business requirements is essential.
• Good grasp of SDLC concepts is a must

Skills and Abilities:

• Combination of business and technical skills. In depth understanding of the business domain
• Knowledge of relevant modules in Core Banking application including parameters and development tools preferable
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• The Candidate should be a team player.
• Good negotiation skills, proven skills in effectively dealing with the users, vendors and building consensus

Other preferences:

• Experience in banking environment in the Middle East preferred
