Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues for desktop, Laptop, Printer, etc…
  • Setting up and configuring new laptops and desktops
  • Install authorized software to laptops and desktops
  • Ensuring security and upgrades are applied and kept up to date on desktops and laptops
  • Antivirus installation to all desktops and laptops
  • Fault-finding to laptops and desktops, and office equipment’s
  • Reporting faults and maintaining logs on desktops, laptops, printers, etc…
  • Maintain and change printer/Fax/Photocopier cartridges
  • Completing internal user moves including phones
  • Patching of network and phones
  • Ensure all logs for equipment and users are maintained and managing the IT Assets inventory.
  • Escalate IT issues to the IT Director where necessary.
  • Ensuring all software purchased licensing is recorded and maintained.
  • Support Access Control, CCTV, attendance systems, tablets and smart phones when necessary
  • Assist employees in registering their fingerprints in the Biometric systems
  • Creating purchase requisitions for IT hardware/software.
  • Execute routines to maintain the operational environment of the critical IT equipment’s.
  • Maintain the availability of cartridges in stock.
  • Provide 24/7 support for critical issues

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Computer Engineering or similar qualification
  • Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician
  • MCTS System Centre 2012 certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the same role
