Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Support Specialist to support our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central system and retail Point of Sale (POS) operations. This role will be critical in managing POS-related activities, supporting retail users, maintaining promotion configurations, setting up new retail locations, and assisting the IT department across daily operations and strategic initiatives.


Business Central & POS System Support

  • Provide day-to-day support for POS systems integrated with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Troubleshoot POS and ERP-related issues including transaction sync, user errors, and system downtime.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for escalated issues or custom developments.

Promotions & Pricing Setup

  • Create, test, and deploy promotions, discounts, and pricing rules within Business Central for POS use.
  • Collaborate with Retail and Marketing teams to ensure timely and accurate implementation of campaigns.
  • Validate promotional logic and monitor performance after deployment.

Store & User Support

  • Support retail branches and showroom teams with POS hardware/software issues (printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers, etc.).
  • Provide basic training and support documentation to end users.
  • Monitor daily POS operations, including system connectivity, data syncing, and end-of-day processes.

General IT Support

  • Assist in IT tasks across the business such as user account setup, device support (laptops, printers, mobile devices), and network troubleshooting.
  • Support rollouts, upgrades, and testing for Business Central and other IT systems.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on support for IT hardware including desktops, laptops, printers, POS terminals, and networking equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on IT hardware as needed.
  • Assist in setting up new showrooms, including system installation, POS configuration, database setup, and network connectivity.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely setup of IT infrastructure for new retail locations.

Data Backup & Recovery:

  • Ensure regular data backup processes are in place and functional for all critical systems including POS and Business Central.
  • Assist in data recovery efforts in the event of hardware failure, data corruption, or accidental deletion.
  • Perform in-house recovery from failed or non-booting HDDs/SSDs using standard recovery tools.
  • Use tools such as EaseUS, R-Studio, TestDisk, Acronis, and Clonezilla for recovery and imaging.
  • Support basic hardware-level recovery using SATA/IDE adapters, external enclosures, and diagnostic tools.
  • Carry out physical laptop repairs if needed (motherboard, fan, screen, power issues) to enable data access.
  • Maintain documentation and logs of backup schedules, recovery tools used, and recovery procedures.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and retail POS systems.
  • Experience in promotion setup, pricing management, and retail workflows.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and support multi-location retail operations.
  • Experience with POS systems integrated with Business Central.
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery tools such as Acronis, Veeam, or Windows Server Backup.
  • Experience with SQL databases, basic scripting, or reporting tools is a plus.
  • GCC retail experience and/or Arabic language skills are a bonus
