Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The role is responsible for supporting Companywide provision for computer operations hardware, infrastructure software and associated I.T. support for the user community.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st and 2nd level support.
  • Perform planned activities in conjunction with the relevant business function to deliver the required computer equipment.
  • Deliver the on-going I.T. & Help Desk support services to the flyadeal community.
  • Perform planned activities to maintain a stable and robust, fit for purpose, central computer operations infrastructure for the company.
  • Perform planned activities to deliver enhancements to the company s computing infrastructure.
  • Report on actual performance against service level agreements with external suppliers throughout the flyadeal IT user community with external suppliers of IT related products and services.
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, systems, and networking systems and IOS.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance to data centre, networking devices and systems.
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.


Requirements":"
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in maintaining computer operations and I.T. Experience in multi-site environment in a company similar in size to flyadeal is a plus.
  • Sound knowledge of business computing, the equipment required to deliver it, and the mechanisms for finding faults and taking remedial action.
  • Understanding of the attributes of various types of computing equipment that are available and understanding their comparative capabilities and performance in relation to their cost.
  • WAN & LAN technologies.
  • Support techniques for information management systems.
