• Develop and communicate the BU’s vision, strategic direction and annual business plan and ensure compliance of business activities to the overall vision of Tech Group;

• Lead and facilitate strategic and business planning, ensure effective implementation of plans to achieve the desired financial and non-financial goals for the BU as defined by the agreed Business Plan;

• Work with Transformation Manager/s and Department Heads to transform the BU, identify areas of weakness and implement change for the purpose of business improvement;

• Establish necessary structures, policies and procedures to lead and smoothly manage organizational growth and change;

• Form a Steering Group to lead and oversee tender bids, product and market strategies in line with the
Business Plan and the BU growth objectives;

• Develop, manage and strengthen strategic alliances with key internal and external stakeholders/partners;

• Work to, and within, the proper internal control procedures and policies of Organization;

• Lead and direct new projects in tender/pre-construction and post-contract award;

• Regularly evaluate the performance of the BU’s departments and its employees;

• Represent the organization and create presence through various networking and organizations within the UAE;

• Lead daily business activities of the BU and communicate with department heads in a timely and accurate manner;

• Oversee the BU’s cash-flow and forecast profit targets to ensure it is being managed effectively while supporting the requirements of the projects to enable their continuous progress;

• Review financial and commercial reports of the BU and take necessary action to steer the BU proactively;

• Oversee management of the budget, spend, change control, cost-risks, cost-overruns, cost to complete, cost recovery, profit opportunities/optimization methods and steer the BU proactively to achieve agreed profit goals;

• Oversee the BU’s Financial and Regulatory reports are accurately prepared and timeously submitted to Group;
Oversee the management and financial performance of the business unit;

• Oversee the Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables is maintained to timeously meet the BU’s cash- flow requirements;

• Provide strategic advice to Department Heads and Project Managers a stated purpose and working objectives for them to achieve;

• Where required participate in Client and Supply Chain Vendor negotiations at critical points;

• Identify opportunities for cost optimization, allocate responsibilities/ initiatives appropriately for implementation and monitor the progress regularly;

• Monitor key reports on a regular basis to exercise operational control on organizational performance;

• Train, mentor and develop direct reports to improve managerial skills;

• Identify and groom high performers and potential leaders as part of the succession planning process;

• Attraction new talent and support skills development to create high performing team;

• Implement, monitor and track a Performance Based retention scheme that is best for business;

• Control personnel costs applying a Performance Based assessment process;

• Manage and support the provision of labour, plant, equipment and material resources to meet projects’
requirements (assist feeding the projects with their resource requirements);

• Enforce compliance with respect to project controls across Tech Construction and its projects, including but not limited to, planning, programming, forecasting, change, risk management, safety, quality, engineering, procurement, total reporting and resources;

• Work to resolve any critical risks and/or areas of concern at a business and project level;

• Where required intervene on minor and major day-to-day operations, disaster recovery, incident support and troubleshooting are timeously managed and resolved;

• Work to ensure the Subcontractors and Supply Chain vendors fulfil agreed service levels as required from/by them;

Support the project managers and projects to manage their project plan, timeline and communications and reports;

• Keep the CEO informed of any critical risks, areas of concerns and respective resolutions;
