Our client is a leading FMCG Distribution conglomerate situated in the Sultanate of Oman with business interests in Kuwait and the UAE, in addition to the business in the Sultanate. The Organization has ambitious plans for upstream and geographical growth, generating a multimillion turnover with approximately 3,000 employees with many leading international brands within its portfolio.
We have been retained to assist them with the sourcing of a “Sales Manager for HORECA Channel”. The position is to be based in Muscat.
The objective of the role is to:
1. Develop Sales strategies within HORECA Channels in FSS/Across the Sultanate of Oman. Develop and achieves the targets of the existing agencies within the selected universe
2. Lead the sales team to ensure further market penetration while offering an exquisite customer experience.
3. Develop internal & external relationships building across all the aspects of the industry.
4. Maintain updated sales techniques to coop with all the continuous developments in the HORECA Channel.
5. Maintain a proper tracking system for competitors and ensure market shares do not get affected or disturbed

Key accountabilities:

1. Manage the entire sales operations within the HORECA segment (Across all the Sultanate)
2. Maintain the margins in line with the approved budgets
3. Ensure continuous penetration for Agencies & always developing new businesses
4. Develop seasonal calendars to ensure competitiveness all year round
5. Work closely with logistics to ensure routes are utilized efficiently
6. Ensure salesmen schedules/routes are efficiently covering their entire universe.
7. Ensure forecasts are being fed continuously to the supply chain admin.
8. Develop seasonal promo’s to expedite/slow the movement of stock considering blocked requirements
9. Continuously developing/looking for new suppliers with matching/better quality/cost
10. Maintain a clean and efficient collection system
11. Work closely with the different functions in depleting slow moving items.
12. Develops training needs analysis and ensure his team is equipped with the best skills to drive the required results.
