Senior Field Operator (Wellhead Maintenance)

Job Description

Our client is a government owned oil and company and currently they are looking for competitive candidates to join their team. Details are as follows.


Position title- Senior Field Operator (Wellhead Maintenance)

Employment type- Direct hire

Location – Dubai (It is a non-rotation position, based in Dubai)


The Senior Field operator is responsible for the operation of existing wells, and other field facilities. The Senior Field operator will support both field operators and field supervisor in field operation duties/responsibilities.


Key responsibilities:

Supervise contractors during well intervention operations in coordination with field supervisor
Supervise contractors performing job across the field
Identify, lead and carry out maintenance work on wellheads & flowlines
Represents field department in maintenance and planning meetings
Contribute to a high standard of HSE performance by following HSE standards at all times, including the prompt reporting of any safety or environmental hazards or incidents, by actively participating in the STOP program

Quantify potential issues and inform field manager and coordinate with other team members

Responsible to carry out toolbox talks for all jobs performed across the field

Responsible to update field daily reports

Responsible to update field changes in operation

Provide support for other Maintenance and Project teams while executing jobs in field areas.

Visually inspect well sites flow lines and other field facilities.

Prepare Daily Work Permits , monitor and check daily field work permits and work progress

Raise necessary SAP notifications in coordination with field operators and field supervisor

Covers for field supervisor during leave or emergency

Covers for the dayshift field operator during leave or emergency


QUALIFICATIONS

High School graduate or equivalent formal education.
Five years in oil /gas field experience and significant experience around pressures over 5000 psi.
Working knowledge of safety practices for high-pressure well fluids.
Sr. Field operator must have strong analytical skills and differentiate between a minor problem which can be dealt with without an interruption to operation or a major problem which requires production/injection shut in and resulting loss of production revenue and or loss of gas supply
Capable of precise oral and written communication in the English Language and accurate understanding of the same.
Good planner / organizer, team player.
U.A.E. Driver’s License is must. Alternatively your driving license should be transferable.
