Quality Assurance (QA) Systems & Procedures

Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan in line with consultancy obligations.

Review and approve contractor QA/QC documentation, including QA plans, ITPs, and method statements.

Maintain robust records management (WIRs, MIRs, NCRs) and audit contractor QA systems to close gaps.

Quality Control (QC) Site Execution Monitoring

Conduct and witness inspections with discipline inspectors to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.

Review and sign off inspection records prior to work acceptance in conjunction with the site inspectors.

Oversee materials testing, system checks, and commissioning to ensure results meet requirements.

Monitor handling, storage, and installation practices to prevent defects.

Coordination with Client & Consultant

Escalate systemic quality issues to the Site Lead / Resident Engineer.

Provide clear QA/QC reporting to the client, highlighting risks, recurring defects, and contractor performance.

Lead and or participate in progress and coordination meetings, ensuring quality matters are highlighted and addressed.

Support the AOR & Lead Consultant in compliance checks with authorities.

Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions

Lead the process for NCRs and observations, ensuring timely closure by the contractor.

Validate root-cause analysis and corrective actions, ensuring they are sustainable and within project requirements.

Advise line managers and stake holders on unresolved quality issues requiring contractual or procedural intervention.

Testing, Commissioning & Handover

Ensure review and approval of samples, mock-ups, and trial installations.

Oversee pre-commissioning and commissioning, ensuring compliance and full documentation.

Monitor preparation of as-built records, O&M manuals, and warranties to align with project handover requirements.

Role Within the Consultant Team

Act as the central QA/QC reference point across all disciplines.

Mentor and guide LDC team including but not limited to inspectors and junior staff to maintain consistent quality standards as part of not only the pre-engineering deliverables but throughout all LDC project deliverables.

Coordinate with HSE to align workmanship, safety, and compliance.

Uphold accountability between client expectations, consultant duties, and contractor deliverables.
