Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Site Surveys & Measurements

  • Visit project sites to take accurate measurements and verify existing conditions before production begins.
  • Prepare detailed site survey reports, sketches, and measurement data.
  • Identify and document any discrepancies between design drawings and site conditions.
  • Use laser measuring tools and digital survey equipment to capture accurate data.

Coordination & Communication

  • Liaise with project managers, draughtsmen, designers, and production teams to communicate site details and required adjustments.
  • Coordinate with main contractors, architects, and consultants to confirm technical details and resolve queries.
  • Ensure survey data aligns with approved drawings and fabrication schedules.

Quality & Compliance

  • Verify that joinery installations meet design intent, dimensional tolerances, and quality standards.
  • Highlight potential issues that could affect manufacturing or installation and propose practical solutions.
  • Ensure site works comply with company standards, specifications, and relevant health and safety regulations.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Produce accurate and timely site survey reports with photos and dimensioned sketches.
  • Maintain updated site records, revisions, and as-built information.
  • Provide measurement data to the draughting team for CAD detailing and shop drawing updates.

Technical & Support Duties

  • Assist the design and production teams with technical input during the drawing and fabrication stages.
  • Participate in site coordination meetings and provide technical clarifications.
  • Support installation teams by resolving dimensional or alignment issues on site.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Joinery, Interior Fit-Out, Construction, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 5 years experience in joinery or interior fit-out site surveying.
  • Strong understanding of joinery fabrication and installation methods.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and joinery drawings.
  • Experience with digital measuring tools and AutoCAD (preferred).
  • Valid UAE driving license (for site mobility, if applicable).
