Junior Accountant Metssa Group

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our dynamic Finance & Accounts team. The successful candidate will support day-to-day financial operations and as well as be involved in all key aspects of financial reporting and compliance

• Record daily financial transactions and ensure accurate posting in the accounting system.
• Assist in preparation of monthly, annual financial statements and management reports i.e. Balance sheets, income, cash flow statements, and other reports.
• Maintain and update accounts payable and receivable ledgers.
• Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and monitor company finances to issue accurate and insightful reports regularly and within defined deadlines.
• Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial documentation.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by computing essential factors like tax returns, fixed assets, and ledger data.
• Assist in inventory accounting, including stock tracking and reconciliation.
• Monitor petty cash usage and support cash flow tracking.
• Ensure proper documentation, accurate reporting and systemic filing of all company financials and accounting records.
• Liaise with external auditors during yearly audits by providing accurate documentation, transactions and balances of the company.
• Follow the standard operating procedure of national and state finance laws strictly.
