Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of detailed cost estimates and budgets based on project specifications and drawings.
 - Conduct site visits to gather necessary data for accurate assessments of project progress and costs.
 - Monitor and evaluate project expenditures to ensure compliance with financial forecasts and budgets.
 - Collaborate with project managers and engineers to assess changes in project scope and their impact on costs.
 - Prepare monthly financial reports and forecasts to provide stakeholders with an overview of project financial status.
 - Support the procurement process by sourcing materials and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
 - Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions and variations to ensure transparency and accountability.
 - Assist in the preparation of tender documents, including bills of quantities and other relevant financial information.
 - Facilitate communication between clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to address any cost-related queries and issues.
 - Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to enhance professional knowledge and service delivery.
 
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is essential.
 - 0-2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or related roles within the construction industry.
 - Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools like CostX or Bluebeam for efficient project management.
 - Strong numerical and analytical skills to interpret complex financial data and construction documents.
 - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and team members.
 - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing individual responsibilities effectively.
 - Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy in all calculations and documentation.
 - Adaptability to changing project demands and a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
 - Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus to facilitate diverse client interactions.
