Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Position Summary
The Lab Instructor will support the daily operations and technical activities of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Lab. The role involves assisting faculty, researchers, and students in conducting AI-related experiments, managing hardware/software infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the lab environment. The lab instructor /lecturer will also take assigned classes in the undergraduate program and non-lecture hours in the master’s Program in AI and Health Informatics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lab Operations & Maintenance
- Install, configure, and maintain AI lab equipment, including servers, GPUs, workstations, and peripherals.
- Ensure proper functioning of AI/ML software, libraries, and frameworks (e.g., Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, R).
- Technical Support and Teaching
- Provide technical assistance to students and faculty during lab sessions, workshops, and projects.
- Take classes in the bachelor's program and assist faculty in courses of master's programs.
- Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and coordinate with IT support when needed.
- Support implementation of cloud-based AI tools (e.g., Alibaba Cloud, AWS).
- Data & Research Support
- Assist in the preparation, cleaning, and management of datasets used for AI experiments.
- Support faculty and researchers in simulation, model training, and evaluation.
- Training & Documentation
- Conduct basic training sessions for students on lab, software usage,
- Document project workflows and maintain logs of lab usage and research activities.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications
Master’s degree in computer science or Artificial Intelligence, or related discipline (M-Tech, MCA,
MSc). A candidate with relevant job experience will be given preference.
