Land Surveyor Plus Palace General Contracting LLC

Position Overview:

The Land Surveyor is responsible for carrying out precise site surveys, establishing control points, and executing setting-out works for civil, structural, architectural, and MEP elements. The role ensures accuracy in all measurements and alignment with approved drawings and project specifications. Mandatory experience in UAE luxury villa or high-end residential projects is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Surveying & Control Point Establishment:

• Install permanent and temporary horizontal and vertical control points.
• Verify control points at various stages of the project to ensure survey accuracy.
• Prepare and submit control point reports with exact coordinates and elevations.
• Transfer design data to the field using Total Station, GNSS, laser equipment, or auto-level.
• Capture as-built data for each stage of construction and submit updates as required.

Setting Out Works:

• Set out primary & secondary grid lines.
• Mark foundation layout and footing positions.
• Set out column, wall, core, and slab positions.
• Mark road alignments, kerbs, edges, and levels.
• Set out utility alignments including stormwater, sewer, water supply, drainage, electrical & telecom.
• Provide offset markings and reference line markings to support uninterrupted construction.
• Ensure proper levels for excavation, backfilling, compaction, and slab preparation.
• Verify floor levels and ensure compliance with design tolerances and specifications.

Monitoring & Quality Verification:

• Check and monitor verticality of columns, walls, cores, and structural elements.
• Verify dimensions, alignment, and level accuracy on site in accordance with approved drawings.
• Conduct as-built surveys and prepare detailed CAD/Revit-compatible reports for consultant submission.

Data & Documentation:

• Record and maintain survey data accurately, including coordinates, elevations, and level transfers.
• Upload/download survey data for coordination with CAD/Revit/BIM teams.
• Maintain calibration records, survey logs, and daily survey reports.
• Prepare setting-out reports for each stage of construction.

Coordination & Site Communication:

• Coordinate closely with Site Engineer, Project Engineer, QA/QC & Design/Technical teams.
• Resolve any discrepancies between actual site conditions and drawings.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and consultants for layout inspections and approvals.

Equipment Handling & Knowledge:

• Operate, calibrate, and maintain:
• Total Station (Leica / Trimble / Topcon)
• GPS / GNSS
• Auto-levels
• Laser equipment
• Ensure instruments are properly calibrated, maintained, and stored.
• Conduct regular checks to ensure accuracy, precision, and reliability of survey equipment.
