Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop detailed landscape plans, including grading, planting, and hardscape designs, using CAD software to create precise and visually appealing presentations.
- Prepare construction documents, including site plans, sections, elevations, and details, suitable for permitting and construction purposes.
- Collaborate with landscape architects and project managers to translate conceptual designs into technical drawings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, gather necessary data, and verify design elements during the construction phase.
- Coordinate with other disciplines, such as engineers and surveyors, to integrate landscape designs with overall project plans.
- Revise drawings based on client feedback, regulatory requirements, and site-specific conditions, maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Research and specify plant materials, hardscape elements, and other landscape components, considering aesthetic and practical considerations.
- Manage and organize drawing files, ensuring proper version control and adherence to company standards and industry best practices.
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and material takeoffs to support the bidding process and project budgeting.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new design software, and relevant codes and regulations to enhance design skills and knowledge.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in design principles.
- Holds relevant certifications such as AutoCAD certification, demonstrating proficiency in industry-standard design software.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in landscape drafting or design, showcasing practical knowledge of landscape construction.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of landscape design principles, construction techniques, and plant materials.
- Exhibits proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Land F/X, Vectorworks), essential for creating accurate and detailed drawings.
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks efficiently.
- Showcases a keen eye for detail and accuracy, ensuring the precision and quality of all drawings and design documents.
- Nationality preference is not a factor, with fluency in English (written and spoken) mandatory for effective communication.
- Exhibits strong problem-solving skills, capable of addressing design challenges and finding creative solutions.
