Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Operate manual lathe and milling machines to manufacture components as per drawings.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and machining instructions.
  • Set up machines, tooling, and workpieces accurately.
  • Perform turning, facing, drilling, boring, threading, and milling operations.
  • Inspect finished components using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers and micrometers.
  • Maintain machine accuracy through routine maintenance and cleaning.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards during machining operations.
  • Report machine malfunctions or deviations to the supervisor.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

  • ITI / Diploma in Machining, Mechanical Engineering, or related trade.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience operating manual lathe and milling machines.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes and tolerances.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
  • Knowledge of workshop safety practices.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet production deadlines.
