Reports To: Laundry Supervisor / Manager

Job Summary:

• The Laundry Assistant is responsible for assisting in the daily laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing. They help maintain cleanliness and ensure all laundry tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Wash, dry, and fold laundry items (e.g., linens, towels, uniforms).
• Sort laundry based on type, color, and fabric.
• Operate laundry equipment (washing machines, dryers, irons).
• Ensure laundry area is clean and organized.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of laundry supplies.
• Report any damaged or worn-out items to the supervisor.
• Help with pressing and ironing clothes when necessary.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures while handling laundry.
• Assist with organizing and storing clean linens and clothing.
• Support laundry team with special tasks as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of laundry operations and equipment.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical stamina to stand, lift, and carry laundry items.
• Good communication skills.
