Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects.
  • Analyze technical drawings, specifications, and project scopes to determine material, labor, and time requirements.
  • Review and validate vendor and subcontractor quotations for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to collect cost data and ensure alignment.
  • Conduct risk and contingency analysis using industry-standard software and methodologies.
  • Maintain and update cost databases, norms, and benchmarking data.
  • Support management during bid reviews, tender clarifications, and contract negotiations.
  • Supervise and mentor junior estimators and ensure quality and consistency in all estimates.
  • Prepare cost reports, variance analysis, and recommendations for cost optimization.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Civil / Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in cost estimation within the oil and gas industry, preferably on major EPC projects.
  • Advanced Excel skills and extensive experience using cost estimation and risk analysis software.
  • Thorough understanding of project execution processes and the ability to interpret contract terms, conditions, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with total cost management techniques.
  • Cost Engineering Certification (AACE) is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with attention to detail
