Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Lead the planning and execution of installation and construction activities for major mechanical equipment including:

  • Compressors
  • Package Boilers
  • STG
  • Large Columns and Vessels
  • Acid Gas Blowers
  • HRSG Packages
  • Flares and Incinerators
  • Large Bore Valves

Prepare detailed Material Handling Reports, including lifting studies, rigging plans, and equipment access strategies.

Evaluate and design crane access and standing areas for installation and maintenance operations.

Assess and validate pipe rack strength and structural adequacy for supporting new loads during brownfield modifications.

Develop and review installation and maintenance strategies for integration with existing facilities, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

Coordinate with structural, piping, and civil teams to ensure compatibility of new installations with existing infrastructure.

Provide input on Passive Fire Protection (PFP) requirements for existing structures and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Participate in 3D Model and constructability reviews and provide technical solutions for complex installation challenges.

Ensure all activities comply with project specifications, industry codes (ASME, API, etc.), and HSE standards.

Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.

Desired Candidate Profile

We are looking for a seasoned Lead Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in construction and installation of heavy mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing Installation, Construction, and Maintenance Material Handling Reports, with a focus on both greenfield and brownfield modifications. The role requires a deep understanding of equipment installation, structural integration, and maintenance access planning.

  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 15 20 years of experience in mechanical construction, installation, and maintenance within large-scale industrial projects.
  • Proven experience in brownfield modifications and integration with existing facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of structural assessments, pipe rack loading, and PFP systems.
  • Proficiency in preparing technical documentation, lifting plans, and method statements.
  • Familiarity with international standards and best practices in mechanical construction and safety.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
