Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of mechanical maintenance technicians, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring a high standard of work.

  2. Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal disruptions to operations.

  3. Equipment Inspection: Regularly inspect mechanical equipment, identify potential issues, and prioritize maintenance or repairs based on criticality.

  4. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems and failures, taking corrective actions to resolve issues promptly.

  5. Maintenance Budget: Develop and manage the maintenance budget, including cost estimates for repairs, spare parts, and labor.

  6. Spare Parts Inventory: Maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment to facilitate timely repairs and replacements.

  7. Safety Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and standards, and implement safety measures to prevent accidents.

  8. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment manuals, and reports on equipment performance.

  9. Vendor Relations: Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for equipment servicing and spare parts procurement.

  10. Training: Provide training and development opportunities for maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

  11. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes, equipment reliability, and cost-efficiency.

  12. Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans for equipment

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  2. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

  3. Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.

  4. Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  5. Ability to work well under pressure and in emergency situations.

  6. Strong organizational and time management skills.
