Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, reflecting the critical path and resource constraints for process plant piping construction.
- Lead the planning and scheduling efforts for the entire project lifecycle, from FEED to commissioning, ensuring alignment with project goals and contractual obligations.
- Analyze project progress, identify schedule variances, and proactively recommend corrective actions to mitigate delays and ensure timely completion.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to integrate all project activities into a unified schedule, considering dependencies and interfaces.
- Conduct regular schedule reviews and progress updates with stakeholders, providing clear and concise reports on project performance and potential risks.
- Manage and control project budgets, forecast costs, and track expenditures related to planning activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee the development and implementation of effective planning processes, procedures, and tools to improve project efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior planning engineers, fostering their professional growth and development within the team.
- Evaluate and manage change orders, assessing their impact on the project schedule and budget, and updating the plan accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations related to planning and scheduling in the oil and gas sector.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Mechanical with a strong focus on process plant piping.
- Holds certifications such as PMP or PMI-SP, demonstrating project management and scheduling expertise.
- Boasts a minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in planning and scheduling within the oil and gas construction industry, specifically in process plant piping.
- Demonstrates extensive experience with international oil and gas construction projects, providing a global perspective.
- Exhibits proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software, with a proven track record of creating and maintaining complex project schedules.
- Exhibits proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, to prepare reports and presentations.
- Demonstrates exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex scheduling issues.
- Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrates leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of planning engineers.
- Exhibits fluency in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams.
