Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using advanced planning tools, ensuring alignment with project milestones and deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and engineering teams to integrate all aspects of the project into the planning process.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions to mitigate delays.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings to review schedule status, changes, and resource allocation, promoting transparency and communication.
- Generate detailed reports and analyses on project timelines, variance, and resource utilization, providing actionable insights to senior management.
- Implement best practices in scheduling and planning methodologies, continuously improving processes for efficiency.
- Oversee the preparation of baseline schedules and ensure adherence to project controls standards.
- Train and mentor junior planning engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional development.
- Conduct scenario analysis to evaluate the impact of potential changes on project timelines and deliverables.
- Utilize earned value management techniques to assess project performance and forecast future performance trends.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in project planning and scheduling within the construction or engineering sector.
- Proven expertise in using planning software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project to manage complex projects.
- Professional certifications like PMP (Project Management Professional) or PSP (Planning and Scheduling Professional) are highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide strategic insights.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving capabilities to address challenges as they arise.
- Experience in large-scale projects, particularly in the oil and gas, infrastructure, or construction industries.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are an advantage, especially in multinational environments.
- A detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
