Lead Process Design Engineer REV1 Power Services LLC - Abu Dhabi

- Define overall process engineering strategy and planning

- Review FEED documentation, Prepare P&IDs, PFDs, datasheets, and design basis

- Advise on process optimization, operability, and safety

Verify documentation, procedures, and checklists for Detailed Engineering

General and Coordination Activities

• Attend project kick-off and weekly progress meetings.

• Provide input for monthly reports and close-out of review comments.

• Coordinate with licensors, vendors, and other disciplines.

• Manage interfaces, tie-ins, and document control.

• Incorporate FEED HAZOP recommendations into detailed design.

Core Process Engineering Deliverables

• Review and validate FEED documentation (Basis of Design, PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, line lists, etc.).

• Verify process and utility design criteria, mass balances, and capacities.

• Update key process documents: Design Basis, Descriptions, Equipment List, Utility Summary, Alarm & Trip Schedule, Relief Loads, Emission Summary, and C&E Diagrams.

• Focus on critical line sizing and mechanical isolation philosophy.

Process Diagrams

• Update and mark-up:

• Block Flow Diagrams (BFDs)

• Process and Utility Flow Diagrams (PFDs/UFDs)

• Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)

• Process Safeguarding Flow Diagrams (PSFDs)

Data Sheets, Studies, and Calculations

• Update process data sheets and perform/review calculations and studies, including:

• Flare and blowdown analysis

• PSV sizing

• Line sizing

• AIV/FIV and surge studies (as required)

• Review vendor documents, support technical bid evaluations, and respond to TQs.

Process Instrumentation Data

• Review and update data sheets for control valves, PSVs, flow elements, orifices, and shutdown valves in coordination with the Instrumentation discipline.

Safety Reviews

• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and Design/3D Model reviews and support close-out actions.

Process Philosophies

• Review and update the following as required:

• Operating & Control, ESD, Relief & Blowdown, Isolation, and Vent/Drain Philosophies

• Pre-commissioning & Commissioning Philosophy

• Chemical Treatment and Tie-in Philosophies

• Safeguarding and Drainage/Effluent Disposal Philosophies

• Aspen Flare System Analyzer (Flarenet)
