Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Lead QA/QC Engineer is responsible for managing and supervising the quality assurance and control functions across all stages of furniture manufacturing. This role ensures compliance with internal and external quality standards (ISO, FSC, FR, etc.), leads quality inspections, supports certification audits, investigates customer complaints, and drives continuous process improvement initiatives. The position plays a key role in maintaining high product standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Desired Candidate Profile

Lead, train, and manage a team of QC Inspectors.

▪ Monitor quality control processes across production lines, including incoming material inspection, in-process checks, and final product verification.

▪ Ensure adherence to product specifications, tolerances, and finishing standards.

▪ Act as the Management Representative for quality management systems, ensuring compliance and readiness for: o ISO 9001 (Quality Management) o FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) o Fire-Rated (FR) Doors and other regulatory certifications

▪ Coordinate internal and external audits and follow up on corrective actions.

▪ Review and enhance existing QC procedures and SOPs.

▪ Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes.

▪ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Design, Procurement) to implement quality improvements.

▪ Maintain updated documentation, inspection records, and calibration logs.

▪ Receive and analyze customer complaints related to product quality.

▪ Conduct root cause investigations and recommend solutions.

▪ Coordinate rework, replacements, or preventive changes, as necessary.

▪ Maintain a complaint log and produce monthly quality performance reports.

▪ Prepare and submit periodic quality reports, including defect trends, audit outcomes, and compliance metrics.

▪ Recommend key quality indicators (KPIs) to track and improve performance
