Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise piping quality control and assurance activities at the project site
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable industry codes and standards
- Review and approve method statements, inspection test plans and welding procedures
- Conduct inspections, surveillance and audits of piping fabrication and installation
- Coordinate with construction teams, engineering departments and external inspectors
- Monitor quality performance and maintain proper documentation
- Manage non conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Guide and support the site quality team
- Participate in final inspections and preparation of project handover documents
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of quality engineering experience in Oil and Gas projects, with strong focus on piping systems
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials and piping systems used in the oil and gas industry
- Certifications such as CSWIP 3.1, CSWIP 3.2, AWS CWI or equivalent are preferred
- Familiarity with international codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, API and ISO
- Excellent leadership, communication and documentation skills
- Prior site-based experience on large-scale EPC projects or brownfield and greenfield developments
