POSITION PURPOSE:
To develop, manage learning & development assets, programs, and initiatives in a manner that produces effective measurable results.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop, manage learning and development assets and initiatives as assigned, included but not limited to the development and implementation of training materials, programs, and system
• Evaluate learner reaction, knowledge transfer, behaviour change, and business impact of training programs including eLearning, OJT, ILT, and training reinforcement where applicable.
• Facilitate dynamic classroom instruction as required
• Partner with department stakeholders to evaluate learning requirements, provide subject-matter leadership, and support program objectives
• Support and evaluate learning events in the field and CSC
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITY:
• Superior oral and written communication skills; able to produce professional-grade support documentation in English.
• Proven, advanced interpersonal skills and political savvy; able to influence positive and productive outcomes in a respectful manner across all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to confidently and competently facilitate classroom instruction
• Ability to manage competing demands for limited time and resources in a respectful, service-oriented, and influential manner.
• Proven analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
• The ability to periodically travel to meet position and department objectives as required.
• Awareness of different instructional design techniques to maximize learner retention.
• Familiarity with adult learning concepts.
• Understanding how to leverage blended learning across work environments.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor s degree or commensurate experience
• Project and Stakeholder Management
• Facilitation
• Development of training materials
• 5-10 years of progressive management experience; and/or
• 3 - 5 years of learning and development experience
