Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Role & Responsibilities
Legal Compliance
- Monitor and ensure compliance with UAE federal laws, DIFC laws and regulations, local municipal requirements, and building regulations and timely renewal of all licenses and certificates.
- Provide advice on health and safety regulations, labour laws, and environmental compliance as applicable to façade works.
- Liaising with the current PRO in the company for any legal or compliance matters.
Dispute Resolution
- Issue legal notices to defaulting parties.
- Manage claims, arbitration, litigation, and other legal proceedings involving the company with external law firms.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel when necessary and manage legal costs efficiently.
Risk Management
- Identify legal risks associated with new projects, contracts, and partnerships.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and provide guidance to project teams.
Advisory Role
- Advise senior management and project teams on legal aspects of ongoing and upcoming façade projects.
- Stay updated on legal developments affecting the construction and façade sectors in the UAE and the wider GCC region.
Contracts Review
- Review all incoming contracts from the legal aspect and highlight any potential risks to the Senior Management.
Corporate Governance:
- Assist with company secretarial duties, legal documentation for shareholders/board, and corporate structuring as needed.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Work Experience Required (Required Educational qualification, certification etc.)
Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 - 7 years of legal advisory experience, with at least 3 years in the UAE.
Candidate should have relevant legal experience within the Facade/contracting space
Skills Desired (Additional skills/knowledge that would contribute towards higher job efficiency)
Strong understanding of UAE Civil Code, FIDIC contracts, and construction law.
Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
Ability to communicate complex legal information to non-legal personnel.
Proactive and solution-oriented approach.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
