Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all legal affairs of the organization, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Advise senior management and business units on legal risks, rights, and obligations.
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel and coordinate outsourced legal work.
- Develop and implement internal policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks.
- Monitor changes in relevant legislation and regulatory environments, ensuring timely updates to company practices.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings, mediations, and negotiations as required.
- Conduct legal research and provide clear, actionable guidance on complex legal issues.
- Support corporate governance activities, including board meetings and compliance reporting.
- Train and educate staff on legal topics, compliance requirements, and ethical standards.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum of 15 years of experience in legal affairs, corporate law, or a related field.
Proven ability to manage legal matters within a fast-paced organization.
Strong understanding of corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
Experience managing external legal counsel and vendor relationships.
Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and sound judgment in handling sensitive matters.
Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Proficiency in legal research and use of legal databases.
Willingness to work onsite in a full-time, office-based role.
