Job Description

As a Legal Counsel specializing in Logistics and eCommerce, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic legal advice and support to our dynamic organization, known for its expansive logistics network and cutting-edge eCommerce platforms. You will be responsible for navigating the complex legal landscapes of both the logistics and eCommerce sectors, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Your role will involve drafting and reviewing contracts, managing legal risks, and supporting corporate governance initiatives while working closely with cross-functional teams. Your expertise will guide the company through intricate regulatory requirements, enabling us to grow sustainably and innovate responsibly in the industry.


Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic legal advice on logistics and eCommerce operations and transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts with customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and eCommerce laws.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on legal aspects of business development initiatives.
  • Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
  • Manage and resolve legal disputes and litigation efficiently and professionally.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may impact business operations.
  • Support corporate governance by maintaining legal documentation and records accurately.
  • Conduct legal training sessions to enhance compliance awareness among employees.
  • Advise on mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures within the logistics and eCommerce sectors.
  • Assist in intellectual property management and protection to safeguard brand assets.
  • Work closely with external legal advisers and regulators as required.

Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is mandatory.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in logistics and eCommerce legal counsel roles.
  • Strong understanding of international trade laws and eCommerce regulations.
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation and dispute resolution.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction, maintaining active license.
