Location: Dubai (preferred) / Remote (flexible)

OVERVIEW
We are seeking a senior disputes professional to support the coordination of a complex, high-stakes, multi-jurisdictional legal situation involving parallel pre-litigation actions and potential proceedings across several jurisdictions.
This role is intended for a highly experienced operator from a top-tier international law firm environment, capable of maintaining strategic alignment, factual consistency, and disciplined execution across multiple external counsel.
This is a high-impact, decision-focused role — not a full-time position and not an execution role.

ROLE OBJECTIVE
To maintain central strategic control across all jurisdictions by ensuring that:
Legal actions are fully aligned and coherent
Facts are presented consistently across all documents and jurisdictions
Timing and sequencing are controlled and intentional
Legal and reputational risks are actively identified and managed

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cross-Jurisdictional Strategic Oversight
Maintain a clear, global view across all legal workstreams (UAE, US, Europe, Asia)
Review, challenge, and refine strategies proposed by external counsel
Identify inconsistencies, overlaps, or conflicts between jurisdictions

Control of Factual Consistency (Critical Responsibility)
Ensure strict consistency of facts across all legal notices, correspondence, and filings
Prevent contradictions that could weaken proceedings in any jurisdiction
Maintain and protect a single, coherent factual framework across all actions

Risk Identification and Mitigation
Identify legal, procedural, and reputational risks across jurisdictions
Prevent overreach, misalignment, or unnecessary exposure
Ensure secondary jurisdictions do not negatively impact primary proceedings

Sequencing and Execution Control
Guide the sequencing and timing of legal notices and potential filings
Ensure actions are taken in a controlled and strategically coherent manner
Support decision-making on escalation vs negotiation

Senior-Level Coordination
Act as high-level interface with multiple international law firms
Ensure alignment across all external counsel without duplications or gaps
Maintain discipline and clarity in multi-party interactions
Desired Candidate Profile
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS Mandatory • 10–15+ years experience in: • Litigation / arbitration / disputes • OR white-collar / investigations • Background in top-tier international law firms (e.g. Magic Circle, US BigLaw, or equivalent) • Proven experience handling multi-jurisdictional or cross-border matters ⸻ Strongly Preferred • Experience coordinating multiple external counsel across jurisdictions • Exposure to high-stakes, sensitive, or complex disputes • Familiarity with international legal environments (Middle East, Europe, US) ⸻ Critical Traits (NON-NEGOTIABLE) • Strong independent judgment and strategic thinking • Ability to challenge external counsel when necessary • High level of precision and attention to detail • Ability to operate under pressure with incomplete information • Absolute discretion and professionalism ⸻ ENGAGEMENT STRUCTURE • Approx. 5–10 hours per week, with flexibility during peak periods • Focus on key decisions, validations, and strategic control (not execution) ⸻ COMPENSATION • Competitive, based on seniority and engagement structure ⸻ CONFIDENTIALITY This mandate involves sensitive legal matters.
