Key Responsibilities:

As part of the lifeguard team, provide constant qualified lifeguard coverage at Hotel s swimming pools and the designated swimming area on the beach.

On a daily basis to clean and prepare required equipment and first aid items at the swimming pools and beach, so that they are safe and prepared in accordance with departmental SOP s ready for guest use.

Be fully conversant with the departmental NOP/EAP and ensure constant compliance with its wording.

As and when required support the Pool & Beach Attendants/Kids Coordinators to ensure that the guest services offered by the Recreation team are properly delivered.

As and when required act as lifeguard cover for special events which may take place around the pools or on the Beach.

Under the guidance of the departmental supervisory team help produce operate and constantly update the current departmental SOP s in so far as they affect the work of the lifeguard team.

On a proscriptive basis undertake and pass an internationally recognized Pool & Beach Lifeguarding qualification which must at all times be current.

Undertake a departmental led monthly regime of training which will assist in ensuring the physical fitness and technical competency to perform as a professional lifeguard.

Personally maintain a suitable level of physical fitness & voluntarily complete a monthly timed swim.

Keep informed of hotel product and service knowledge in order to answer guest questions.

Answer all guest questions / requests in a friendly and caring manner, take appropriate actions or if needed, refer the matters to the relevant persons to handle. It may be providing information, giving an extra item such as a towel, etc.

Additional responsibilities and tasks, which may be assigned to you from time to time, by your Supervisor or Manager, according to the business requirements of the hotel.

Desired Candidate Profile

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment, including oral and written language skills in English; Any additional languages are an advantage.

Operational knowledge of the role.

Luxury Hotel Experiences.

Communication skills.

Basic knowledge of hotel operations & Computer systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Opera; Basic knowledge of Micros is an advantage.

Passion for hospitality and the European elegance of service.
