Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and approve lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments for routine and critical lifts.
  • Ensure lifting activities comply with ADNOC Codes of Practice, LOLER, OSHA, and international lifting standards.
  • Conduct site surveys and pre-lift meetings to identify hazards and implement necessary control measures.
  • Provide technical support to construction and project teams on lifting-related issues.
  • Supervise and monitor lifting operations to ensure proper execution and adherence to approved procedures.
  • Verify the competency and certification of crane operators, riggers, banksmen, and lifting supervisors.
  • Ensure inspection, certification, and maintenance records of lifting equipment, cranes, and accessories are valid and up to date.
  • Liaise with ADNOC representatives, third-party inspectors, and HSE teams for approvals and audits.
  • Provide toolbox talks and training related to lifting operations to ensure awareness among work crews.
  • Lead the investigation of lifting-related incidents and recommend corrective/preventive actions.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Hold 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
  • Have relevant oil & gas offshore and onshore lifting related experience of not less than 7 years with minimum five years in as similar position;
  • Have adequate training and hands on professional experience and be competent to act as an Appointed Person for lifting equipment;
